Due to the Veteran’s Day Parade this Saturday,  there will be schedule changes as listed below: If there are any problems with making your game, please let the other coach and myself know.




All three games are scheduled for the same times but the field is changed to Amaulu  (Field located on Troy’s farm)

Spring Signups

Aloha All AYSO Families,

We are now preparing for AYSO’s Spring 2015 season which runs from April through mid-June.

Registration for the AYSO Spring 2015 season begins this week.  There will be a registration sign-up at the Bayfront Pavilion  on Saturday, October 25th from 8:30 – 11:30 (Just prior to the season-end party) and again on Monday, October 27th from 4:30 – 6:00 pm.

Although there are no additional fees for players who played in the fall season, parents need to come to one of the registration dates and confirm their child will be participating in the spring season. We will have a roster of all fall players and just need it signed to confirm participation in the spring.

In addition, any children who did not play in the fall but would like to play in the spring can sign up at this time also.

Field Class for Parents (Saturday 8/2/2014 10am – AYSO Pavilion)

Hi Parent,

Troy Keolanui is providing a field class for parents who are coaching or providing any support to the coach in the Fall 2014 season.
Class is Saturday, August 2, 10 am.  Bring your player.  We will run through warm-up, stretch, some drills, etc.
Meet at AYSO pavilion.  Sign in for class.

Fall Registration/Signup

Remember, the Hilo AYSO Fall Season will be starting August 1st.  If you haven’t registered yet and plan to sign up, there is still time.  You can sign up on-line at or pick up a form at SportsLine, complete and mail in (please DO NOT email or leave a comment on the website asking for someone to mail you the forms).  The address and directions are on the form as well as on line.  While we are still accepting registrations, you should get the forms in as soon as possible so you won’t miss out on early season games and also to allow time to order extra uniforms if needed.

If you have forms ready to turn in, I will be at the pavilion today (Friday, July 11th) from 4:30 – 5:30 and again on Sunday from 4:00 – 5:30.  You can also put them in the mail if you wish.

And don’t forget to go on-line to and sign up as a volunteer (If you haven’t already done so) if you are planning to help out in the fall.  All volunteers have to register each year and our next year begins with the Fall Season.

Next week, in addition to our summer camp, we are conducting the Volcano Tournament at the Bayfront fields in Hilo.  In general, games will begin on Friday and run through Sunday for divisions U10 through U19.

Thursday will be a skills challenge and soccerfest afternoon with registration starting at noon and the events beginning at 1pm-3pm.  Skills tested will include speedball (checked by radar gun), obstacle, accuracy, throw-in, and keeper.  The soccerfest portion will involve short time short-sided games.  The AYSO camp personnel will be in charge of this competition.  Participation prizes will be given to the first 50 sign-ups and prizes awarded to winners in each individual skills event.  This is open to all registered AYSO players and all Volcano team members regardless of affiliation.

So if you have some time, come down and watch the tournament teams in some spirited competition or take part in the soccerfest and don’t forget to register for fall.  Remember, your fall sign-up includes participation in the Spring Season also.

Soccer Signup for Fall 2014 & Spring 2015


Registration is now being accepted for the 2014 Fall AYSO season. We continue celebrating 50 years of AYSO this year by charging $75 for the 2014 Fall and 2015 Spring seasons combined.

This one-time fee will allow your child to play in both seasons and each season the player will receive a new uniform. The fall season begins August 1st and the registration deadline to be guaranteed a team is June 15th.  Registrations received after that will be placed on a space available basis.

On-line registration at will be available beginning May 17th.  There will be a  sign-up event with computer access on that day at the Bayfront Soccer Field Pavilion. You can sign-up and make fee payment at the pavilion from 8:30 to 11:30. Those unable to make the event can go on-line to, register with an on-line signature, print a copy of the form, and mail with the $75 fee to AYSO, PO Box 5000, Hilo, Hi, 96720. If you can’t make the sign-up event, and do not have computer access, you can pick up a blank form at SportsLine in Hilo, complete, and mail with the fee to the same address as above. With this method, there is also a parent/athlete concussion information sheet that must be completed and printed and returned.

When you register on-line please review and update your information including current email addresses, mailing addresses, and telephone contact numbers. If plans change and you decide after registration to withdraw your child, refund requests will be accepted until July 25th and must be in writing.

We are a parent-run organization and need your participation. Please go to and register as a volunteer. Not everyone can or wants to be a coach or referee but there are plenty of other tasks which require a minimum amount of time to as much as you want to commit. When you register as a volunteer, please use the on-line signature option, print two copies of your form and send them to the same address as above. And remember, all volunteers, both new and returning, must register every fall season.

Our website, will contain most region information including game schedules (when available), financial information, regional guidelines and policies, calendars, handbooks, insurance forms and job vacancies. Region Board meetings are normally held each month and if you have items which need to be discussed or would like to attend a meeting, please contact Regional Commissioner Dave Brown at or call at 936-6927 for dates and times.


Our Volcano Tournament is being held this summer July 17th – 20th. Team play will include both Hilo tournament teams and those from other Big Island and neighbor island regions. In addition to team play, the first day (17th) will include a Soccerfest featuring small-sided games and skills events and is open to any registered AYSO player.

Be watching for notices on how to sign up for 2015 tournament play for divisions U10-U19 and the fall EXTRA program for U10 & U12 divisions.

AYSO Spring End-of-Season Party!


Reminder –The AYSO spring end-of-season party is Saturday, May 31st11:30-2:00 at the Bayfront Fields Pavilion.

We will provide water slides, and pizza, shave ice, and water.   There is a limited supply of all so you are encouraged to bring more food for your own team and extra shade.
